Hearing loss

You know how things just become your norm? You realize the reoccurring problems, but you just adjust. Especially when you’re in survival mode.

Last week i had a hearing test. I cried when i realized that I truly, really, actually lost some hearing over the years starting in the military… i actually have tinnitus. I actually lost some hearing in the military 🥺 i actually hear pressure… high pitched sounds when its complete silence…

I went to brunch today and my friends were like yeah we just got used to you asking us to repeat ourselves 😞 IT HIT ME FR TODAY! I transparently said: “im sorry yall. I lost a little of my hearing in the military.”

Im embarrassed, but it is what it is.

I thought my gym headphones 🎧 had weakened over the years… no … it’s my hearing.

This month I reflected a lot, learned alot about myself. my current realization is : felicia: you truly have disabilities. You are not finessing. You truly have tinnitus. You truly have severe asthma. You truly have ptsd. You truly have anxiety. You truly suffer from depressive episodes.
